Searching for Sugarman.
This article from The New York Times tells the story of how we found a singer that most South Africans thought was long dead. I created a website that helped in the search. We brought him on tour, and the rest is a remarkable history.
Back from the dead.
This was back in the late 90’s: Once we got word that Rodriguez may be alive, I created The Great Rodriguez Hunt website to see if we could find him. It took a couple of hours to make after work one night. The website featured various articles and a fan forum. Rodriguez’s daughter got in contact with us via the forum.
There was a tour, many more tours, tons of album sales, and an Oscar-winning documentary. My role: concept, design, front end coding. I included this unique project because it was the biggest impact for the least amount of work in my career - so far!
